Toggle the generator lock switch (towards the tail of the light) to release or lock the generator handle. With the handle unlocked (popped out from the unit), squeeze in the handle to generator power and light the LEDs.

Simply flip the other switch to turn on battery mode and the torch will light without squeezing.

Each squeeze generators 2 to 3 seconds of light.
